  • It cleaned pretty good, but I still beleive that washing every single time on cold is not good for your clothes, no matter how much people say it is!

    Thanks for uploading the results!

  • I agree ;-) It's not good - even tests show that.

    Thanks ;-)

  • ariel excel gel cleans very well, especially the new ones with actilift formula but it doesn't kill bacteria ,so it's useful for coloureds and lightly soiled items.

  • But why should I use a detergent that cleans very well, for lightly soiled items? That has no use. You can use regular detergent for that, too.

It's just a detergent with no use ;)

So it's just hygienic reasons ;)

  • Cont... The tea towels will probably be covered in bad bacteria, including bits of skin, and probably bits of poo(!), and then you dry your dishes, and next time you eat from them, you eat your toilet.

So that's why heat should be used 40 is good, but 60 is best.

Gels don't work at killing bacteria, though may remove stain in cold water, they aren't anti-bacterial. though Powder is best for best stain removal, and enzymes help clean deeply.

  • Hot water is best for clothes.

Cold water will be OK for items worn wonce, but soiled laundry, normal & heavy items worn for the day or for long periods (Jumpers etc) should be washed in heat. Heat helps remove stains and of course kills bacteria. If you place a pair of underwear and a tea towel and t-shirt in the same wash and select cold or 30, the bacteria from the underwear transfers to tea towels, and Body Odur from shirt could also transfer to tea towels.

Really? I think hot water isn't good for clothes. Could you explain me that? :)

  • well I use it for my coloureds sometimes and before I used it I had to pretreat stains or add some vanish but with ariel excel gel I can just put the laundry in the machine let it wash and everything is clean.

  • Ein sehr interessanter und aufschlussreicher Test

  • naja mit exel gel kannste aba auch 60 oder 95 waschen tötet auch bakterien ab ;P
