Texans for Accountable Government discusses the City of Austin's original Homeland Security Grant Proposal to establish the Austin Regional Intelligence Center. The grant confirms that Austin Police Department has been planning to establish ARIC as an "All Hazards" Fusion Center with the capabilities of tracking disease trends and aggregating personal, private health records. Many privacy advocates explain that Law Enforcement has no place in managing public health and Central Texans already have systems in place to manage such issues. Please show your support on Thursday May 27 10AM at Austin City Hall where a myriad of issues will be discussed. Visit www.TagTexas.org for more information
