Now this was just hilariously pathetic. Just when I thought I owned Petryx too fast, this guy goes down in....one hit. Yea, what the hell is that? I don't even know what kind of attacks he does now. But yea, when I first saw it, first thing that came to mind was "Oh god, here comes lots of powerful magic, better Shell everyone". And as luck would have it, out of habit, I wasted a turn casting Protect instead of Shell...Oops.

Anyway, yea this guy went down easy. He drops MP Spheres...which are pretty much useless unless you're going to use a Break MP Limit Armor, which is also pretty stupid. I don't think you would ever need more than 999 MP in one fight, and even if you did...Turbo Ether. But as for his attacks...I don't remember what he does, but if I had to guess, I'd say elemental magic, meaning possibly elemental eating armor might help, along with Shell. The guy is super slow too, so...I don't see it being easy to lose this.

So yes, I stopped the Sunken Cave capturing early. I managed to capture 6 Tonberrys before taking a break. Dark Elements were also rare for me, but they come in groups of two, so it wasn't too bad. And some of the Sunken Cave enemies show up more on Mt. Gagazet anyway (Imps, Eggnog or whatever).

Oh, and thanks to 17master for reminding me that you can set the cursor to memory, I totally forgot.

Note: Don't tell me how underleveld or overleved I am, or how I should have used Aeons, or other strategies. This wasn't a speed run fight, or wasn't a challenge fight.

Note2: Don't tell me I should have used a certain weapon or armor, I'm well aware of what would be best, I just am too lazy to do it at the moment.

Note3: Look at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8EfxNj9uOM to see my current stats before the fight. Any changes made between them are shown in the actual video.

  • well, i mean thats good, it drops mp spheres so itll make it easy to get everyone at 999 mp.

  • Just going through the Sphere Grid alone should get your MP to 999 with everyone.

  • He only has 3 attacks, which are Ultima, Flare, and Osmose. All of them do pretty decent damage to their respective targets' hp/mp.

  • @McScreamo Earth Eater drops fortune sphere, found in the Original Conquest

Btw, you should research the monster before rushing in, so you dont waste time overpreparing (hastega, shell, etc.)

  • which monster arena enemy drops fortune spheres ?? do any of them do?

  • @gaiskillen780 u need the celestial mirrior its hard to get thogh

  • how did you open the Chest behind you?

  • omg i think thats a weak monster the black bestia are stronger and not so weak !

  • wtf?? vidatu is really weak if you are on a high level,

    really...

But if you fought him/her if you're on a low level it might be hard because he has an ultima spell.

  • wouldnt you just use the sphere grid to do that???

  • I've got some of the Celestial weapons now (working on the others) so I know about the 99,999 damage cap. But how, exactly, do you train people up to the maximum Strength (255 or something) to be able to hit that high?

  • it's in that small area between the gagazet pass and the calm lands. go down the path to get there.
