This duet by Bing Crosby and Grace Kelly hit #5 on the Top 40 charts and would finish at #44 for the year, 1956. On July 9, 1955, Bill Haley and His Comets hit #1 with Rock Around the Clock, signifying the start of the Rock Era. On April 21, 1956, Elvis Presley hit #1 with Heartbreak Hotel, shooting this new sound into the stratosphere.

George Harrison's version is better. I cannot stand those two hypocrites, disrespectful of their families. That Crosby abused his family something awful, the minute he croaked his wife sold all his stuff. The woman was of Irish descent, daughter of a bricklayer, she was a drunk, party girl, totally unfit to be a mother. A princess indeed, or a rock; they live on gambling, drugs and low life. I wish France would take over that mickey mouse Monaco. Y
