Just rambling a bit about circumcision and religion. I understand circumcision is performed for various reasons these days, including hygiene, but I'm looking at it strictly in regards to religion. Plus, without religion I doubt circumcision would have ever started for any reason.

A good video. Interestingly, the New Testament actually says circumcision is NOT necessary, but it seems like a lot of Christians never got that far in reading their 'favorite' book.

I don't believe religion gives someone the right to permanently and painfully amputate healthy, sensitive, functional genital tissue from someone ELSE.

Let people cut off their own heads if their religion demands it, but at least protect innocent babies from this madness!

Soulgotha, I agree completely! Just to clue you in a little bit; 2 men began the circumcision movement in the United States. They were Dr. Kellogg and Mr. Graham. That's right, the Corn Flake King and the Graham Cracker King.

The purpose was intended to stop little boys from masterbating. Now you know as well as i, this action does not stop a boy from pulling on his pudd. He will find a way because like now, back then, IT FELT GOOD!

Although the religious aspect of infant circ of males has been prevalent throughout the history of circumcision. In the USA it has been done more for the purpose of easy profit for Drs and hospitals in the medical establishment. The problem lies with the medical establishment that continues to be unethical and commit medical fraud in doing infant circ. The other culprits are the mostly Caucasian parents that remain ignorant and cling to the barbaric practice of infant circ.

a circumcision does not reduce sensitivity, that is a myth created by anti-circ organisations.

Great video. Another bullshit aspect of religion indeed. I love how the other commentors used this as an excuse to go on a religious tangent. Why are we wasting time and energy disputing which religion is "worse" and why? Children shouldn't be submitted to genital cutting for any religion. Period.

I'm not an atheist, but on youtube the atheists seem to go after muslims and christians the most. Muslims tend to be the most sensitive, so that's lends itself to the humor.
