Here's a technique that shows up as early as the Wallerstein fencing manual (circa 1470) and in several other subsequent manuscripts that seem to be related to the Wallerstein manuscript, namely the Anonymous Berlin A 83 (c. 1500), Albrecht Durer (c. 1512), Antonius Rast (c. 1530), and all 3 known copies of the elaborate compendium by Paulus Hector Mair (c. 1550). This video illustrates all the variants from these different sources, as well as a few of its counters. Enjoy!

  • Is Falcion interchangeale bith dussack or messer?

  • @SamGCampbell -- If you look at the one-handed technique images, some show it with falchion and others with the dusack, so yes. Practically, it's more whether the one-handed weapon is long enough to reach the opponent's neck -- unless it's really short, then it should theoretically work.
