@tgillspy2 It appears that you think that eugenics is a direct result of evolutionary theory, and that by extension makes evolutionary theory the cause of the eugenic policies of Hitler. People have known for millennia that selective breeding can be used to engineer desired offspring. We did it with humans thousands of years ago (eg "noble" blood lines"). Evolutionary theory had NOTHING to do with the eugenicists. Hitler was a creationist. Read Mien Kampf.

Newtonian Mechanics (1687) was a good estimate for a long time. Einstein, Schroedinger et all came along and gave us a more accurate model including quantum (1924) and relativity (1905). It was proven WITH EVIDENCE and so was agreed to be accurate and Newtonian mechanics was incomplete, even after so long. Science is always open to new evidence. Always open to changes as long as it comes with sufficient evidence to back it up.
