  • @mrjordanwell I quoted the show Archer for that comment, pull the board you broke in karate class out of your ass, geez. If I had the time to study an art, it would be either Krav Maga or Jeet Kune Do.

  • @TheBoogeyman1313 tell me what your ``martial`` expertise

  • @TheBoogeyman1313 Karate is an amazing martial art, I learn Krav Maga, HapKiDo and I hope to learn Bu Jitsu and Aikido.

Karate is a great martial art, albeit watered down.

  • @meaneyedcats Karate? The Dane Cook of martial arts?

  • Is this offered as a proof of concept based on the movie, or as a real world defense technique? A few thoughts...you are responsible for every bullet that comes out of your gun, whether it hits its intended target or not...as such, those wide sweeping movements seem imprudent...also there is shooting from retention as well...in such a scenario it does not make tactical sense to extend the weapon when it can be fired close to the body.

  • Both participants have an interest in maintaining control of their weapon while keeping the opponent's gun aimed away from themselves. That lends itself to a fight that goes like what you see, where two skilled opponents attempt to balance the positions of their gun and their opponent's gun until one maneuvers into an optimal position. You dodge a bullet by not being where the gun is aimed and getting in close allows control on the levels required, as our highly choreographed example shows.

  • @holymcshizlet

Because they appear to be doing it like they seriously think its good training for self defense.

  • wow people get seriously offended with this gun kata stuff. Hey retards, people are just having fun playing around with it. I'm talking to you meaneyedcats, atter0 and others' comments i didn't bother to read.
