I was 9, and I remember talking about Christa McCauliffe in school, that morning, I guess my teacher knew her.. only to go home from school and find out what happened. I also remember the Pats losing to the Bears..sad day. My grandmother was at Carney Hospital but I watched the game with my dad.

Yes, he is referring to the launch of the Space Shuttle Challenger. This video is from 1/26/86, two days before the disaster.
