  • first time i ever saw her was in lolita...and i've appreciated her talent ever since. She's great to listen to in interviews too: it's a shame so few are available on youtube (for now?)

I noticed that too! Why the misleading tag line is used is a mystery....

  • she's not talking about a place in the sun, she's talking about the diary of anne frank

  • They don`t make them like this anymore. If you read her Biographies, Ms. Winters was a remarkable writer. Certainly, an excellent actress. Most impressively (cited in her Biographies) a woman who grabbed life by the balls and lived it well !!!! May her memory always remain for a blessing.

  • When I much younger, I couldn't stand her when I saw her on the talk shows---it all just seemed to be too much about her own ego. But now I can't get enough of her. She has so much to offer regarding movie history. Go figure.

  • This interview was taped at Contintetal Cablevision in Hollywood. It was between 1990-92. I was part of the TV crew, we were students interns who worked as directors, stage managers or technical directors or camera and lighting ops. Ms Winters was wonderfully warm to all of us and treated us all with love and respect. It was an amazing show to work on. Between this show and Robert Clary's, we met everyone historically important in Hollywood.

  • Her books are great and I would love to see Drew Barrymore play her when she first gets to Holywood.

  • I've always loved Shelley. I could listen to her talk all day. Thanks for sharng this.

  • What a wonderful lady--A true legend!!

  • Skip interrupts too much and I think he's the inspiration for Jiminy Glick!

  • she had guts !
