After a few days off, Michael Kras is back to review all of the effects off Disc Four of the True Astonishments DVD set by Paul Harris. Enjoy, and look out for Number Five coming soon!
None of these tricks you just mentioned are really great. Great review by the way, don't you feel as if these entire set should have just been like 200$? Wouldn't that be more accurate on the value?
Thanks for the reviews. There aren't many detailed review on TA. Although, I have noticed that you "foresee" reactions and "haven't tried" many of these effects. I think it would be interesting if you posted videos of performances (to people) to go along with these reviews. We would be able to get a good idea of how these tricks play out.
I performed Name Dropper in front of my entire school at a talent show. To say the least, the audience didn't think it was "cute." It does it hit hard. It's one of my favorite effects on the set.
I really recommend trying out Stapled Warp...For some reason stapling the cards really adds an extra wow-factor. What also surprised me was the ending which you have to do to see...a psychological thing happens and its one of the coolest things. Try it!
thank god this isnt like 10 mins long!!

im adding Naked Travellers and Dr Fun
if you think a little bit you can changed the handling, to do it practical for a gig, or impromptu in a casual setting
