The teddy bear was a tribute to some girl who died during the making of zombies........samantha was rictofens daughter who got killed by the dogs after he "made" the zombies....the zombies got loose and rictofen had to get away....other than that he couldve saved samantha.....the three other characters wer sent from the un to fight off the rest of the zombies......they found rictofen in the 2nd zombie map in waw....he was working on a teleporter in der riese to try toi save samatha........

it seems like edward is rictofen, at the end when he says goodbye, it sounds just like him, so it seems like he killed dr. maxis and samantha

Samantha is Dr.Maxis's Daughter the guy who was testing the HellHounds and made the very first HellHound which was Samantha's dog,Fluffy. And Richtofen was Dr.Maxis's Assistant. When the first HellHound appeared,Richtofen locked Maxis and Samantha in the room where it was at and he left them there to die and uses the teleporter to leave.
