LOOKING PAST THE RACIST INSULTING DEMEANING REMARKS , BEHAVIOR OR CULTURE WHILE ONLY CONCERNING YOURSELF WITH "SUPPOSEDLY" GOOD POINTS IS YOUR PREROGATIVE NOT NECESSARILY ANYONE ELSE BUT REMEMBER IT'S PRETTY EASY TO CONFORM AND LET THINGS BE SHOUTING OVER SENSITIVE RATHER THAN ASSERT THE IDEA OF RESPECT TO OTHERS .....
SEGREGATION ENDED NOT BECAUSE PEOPLE ACCEPTED WHITE RACISM BUT BECAUSE THEY WERE OVER "SENSITIVE" AND MADE A BIG DEAL OUT OF IT......

I love Roger Ebert's reaction to this movie: "This is what classic animation once was like! No 3-D! No glasses! No extra ticket charge! No frantic frenzies of meaningless action! And...good gravy! A story! Characters! A plot!"

@robynn0405 I don't know Betsy Sharkey well enough to know. Although I've read some of her columns/articles before and she has only focused on white actors, ignoring minority actors who also contribute. But in this case here, I think she was more trying to say that here's a mainstream movie with a black female princess character. Most of the time, Disney has used white characters.

@yanfeb15 I know, when I first heard there was a new Disney Princess, I was like, "Oh no, here comes another one of those 'Dreams really do come true!" "Someday my prince will come!" princess. I thought she was going to be like all prissy and stuff, but I REALLY love it! <3 Best movie EVER! :D Haha!
Finally something Disney that's not Hannah Montana, HSM, Jo Bros, or CGI. I love this movie, also Ray is awesome! He's better than Louis, and I liked Ray more than I thought I would.

Sounds like you are overly sensitive. I'm from a highly diverse family and none of these things bother me in the least. Crows in Dumbo included.
One of the greatest movies of all time; Gone with The Wind. It's set place in a highly racist era and in acted out like that. Does that take away from the movie? Not a bit.
A good movie transcends what you as a person should deem acceptable and not.
