One Family's Account: The Newark Riots of 1967

As riots were sweeping the nation due to an overwhelming frustration with the political environment, Black people were hit the hardest. They were (and still are) often forced to live in the worst conditions and tolerate discrimination. This documentary tells of how people fought back and the governments response to this rebellion. This my familys story of how they were affected by this upheaval.

will history repeat itself? yes!! it always does.. nothing is new under the sun.. always remember that... and to see blacks do this to our own city is not sad, its defensive!!! whats sad is why they have to do this.. if you lose your job have no money or food yoy too will act inthis defensive manner.. its a act of survival, fustration and fighting back.. and you will see this all again.. maybe this time it will be in your own neigborhood...

The overwhelming frustration with the political environment the lack of jobs, educational programs and the people who want to rule this country in the next 4 years and cut all programs and provide no health care, lower wages This can lead to a repeat of history

my father lived in newark during the riots....he always hated how he was forced out of his own neighborhood bc he was italian...the rioters had some right but had no right to only destroy white businesses....white flight has ruined great places like newark,philly, and all of old nyc

@908Diesel Yes you are, blacks and white....IN GENERAL hate each others guts. Best thing is for them to voluntarily segregate like they are now doing. Oh yeah, instead of blacks having whitey in charge of them...it will be the Mestizos......I can bet they will not be as nice as the crackur was.
