King snakes tend to be quite docile when kept as pets, but they can eat other snakes of the same size, so it is important to house king snakes separately. Discover more king snake information from a reptile specialist in this free video on exotic pets.

  • Every Mexican Black I've handled was absolutely fine, even as hatch-lings.

  • @Milk383 LOOOOOOOOOL

  • My female kingsnake has pooped twice on me when handling, while the male seems extremely friendly and curious. x) They have never bitten me, but they do make it clear if they want to be alone (they'll rattle their tail or hiss).

  • I've got a desert phase Cali king snake which is brown with pale yellow strips and spots!! Only about 4 ft long tho

  • i love how much you love snakes :D i really really want a california!! Beautiful x

  • @9HK4 my corn snake musk at me. but not too much. its really stressing them

  • @gophomaxx NOPE. VENOMOUS SPECIES are easy to maintenance too (for experience and experts only) same with non venom species. Large Pythons, Boas are not for beginners too,. CORN SNAKES are best and easy to deal for first timers and then Ball Pythons. and so on.

  • @gophomaxx and where exactly was this information found ?

i keep five snakes, all of them feed regularly on nice sized mice (dead) and they are one of the easiest pets to house

  • Snakes do not make good pets. They are difficult to feed and maintain in cages.

  • @9HK4 lol thats exactly what I was saying :)
