Beneath the Waves (Read Description)

Hi, everyone! I drew this drawing for my friend, Kobra (http://www.youtube.com/abrashazaabra).
It depicts merfolk because that is one of his favorite subjects. I think this picture is a good representation of his tastes and mine, and of how we have influenced each other over the years (we met each other in 6th grade ^^ which for us was several years ago LOL).

This was one of the first serious pictures I've drawn in a long time (it's part of a set). It was done in black ink. Please rate, comment, and subscribe!!!!

This is extremely well done... do you plan to color it?

Rebe colors everything, I don't know why/how she resisted coloring this. It was actually part of a series and all of them were strong, inked drawings but were w/o color (also they were jammed with detail which was different 4 her since she usually adores more simple designs)

How right you are...I really did want to color it. I even bought a new paintset and watercolors for it but in the end it took so long to come back to it that I just couldn't change it. I actually did this right after a drawing block I was having and I remember being close to giving up entirely on drawing. I talked to Kobra and we reminisced and I thought I'd send him an appreciation letter to thank him for being supportive during a odd time.

Thank you KellieWellieBear. I had once planned to color this piece in watercolor but I wanted to copy it before I did just in case I messed up. It took three days for me to copy it and by then I had already drawn 3 other pictures so the desire to color left me. I thought it was good enough not colored in the end.

And as for the picture, it is fine without color, I was just curious. :)

I understand how it feels to nearly give up during the process, but it makes the results (if they turn out this well) all the more enjoyable. :)

Oh yes, I went to add the music this morning 05/07/09 but I was mistaken that it could be added without replacing this video completely (thereby removing the comments). YT Should allow you to upload your own audio for the audio swap feature (which I thought it did, but nooooo . . . )

I think it's awesome, even without music. (Although this picture is even better up close, in person :-D)
