@tlwestre Vista isnt bad but the HUGE amounts of useless junk that runs along with it (most you can't turn off) slows it down. I still use it though b/c of programs i need.

ok Qemu emulates a Intel Pentium 2 CPU @ 75mhz but for some reason on linux it runs so fast? but on windows it will be slow i have windows 98,2000, and xp on qemu. the worst is xp it's slow espally on a 75mhz CPU(emulated).so i'm going to get a mini pc with 1 gb of ram and ubuntu linux.

I have a vista too, never got a BSOD, instead, got SEVEN BSODS on a XP. also, how do you start it? i have a vista too and downloaded it, it wont start....

why is firefox bad? cause it supports css2 completely and standard compliant, and internet explorer nor opera fully do? is that why? or maybe it is the face that you can get any addon in the world that will do just about anything. or maybe it is the open api that you hate. these are good points... all your 200 million people that downloaded and use firefox... STOP... IT IS TOO GOOD!!!

Me being like Tamrix:
Eww he uses Firefox. I can explain why Firefox is bad if you'd like.
As for Vista, currently XP is better for gaming as Vista broke compatibility for many games. Personally though, don't pick an OS for gaming. Pick a stable OS to use that's secure and dual boot with Windows for the games.

Buy? You don't have to buy anything to play games in linux. You use wine (free)In fact, 99.9% of all sofware for linux is free.
Hell linux is more compatible with windows programs than vista. I had vista for about a month before I got sick of it and installed xp. It would get errors doing something as simple as copying a file. I might switch back to vista when the first service pack comes out.

And what do you use?
Until the gameindustries produce games compatible with Linux without having to buy an application to play it, I'll continue using Vista on my homecomputer. After all, if you're well known with XP. Vista isn't that bad.
