Why does the wear on all these "worn" guitars always seem to be in weird places?
I have just watched most of this video and very rarely do Andy's fingers get any where near the wear marks on the scratch plate. It looks like it has been strummed between the neck and the neck pick up to get worn where it is.
The Road Worn series don't even have any wear at all at the twelfth fret! Am I the only person in the world who plays E minor Pentatonic and E blues scales at the twelfth fret?!?!?!

This guitar is pretty as hell, and sounds so great. I don't know what is the reason, selected ash body or this hand wound pickups but it's one of the best sounding Strat I've ever heard. And I've heard really many of them. Killer guitar, I hope I'll get one someday. If I'll find it somewhere...

Which pickups are build in this guitar? the cs fat 50´s or the cs 54´s or something completely different?

Iron Man's guitar.

@MitchRulzWorld i was under the impression it was Deluxe Reverb Reissue, and it was DRRi for that, the little i signifying the i in Reissue

I hate "worn" guitars, fore all times
Hi,
another nice video from pro guitar.com. Just one question: This is supposed to be a 58 model, but the candy apple red finish didn´t appear before somewhere in the early 60s, is that right? So the color actually isn´t correct for a 50s model? Or are there any originally old 50s Strats with this beautiful custom color?
Anyway, nice guitar.

@blackberryblossom - This guitar was built to resemble a '58 that had been refinished at some point in it's life, hence the color and pickguard. Hope that clears things up. Thanks!

What does DRRI stand for? Deluxe Reverb reissue intergalactic? Please help. Thanks
Mitch

@MitchRulzWorld - DRRi (notice the little "i") is generally understood to mean Deluxe Reverb Reissue by internet guitar people. We're not sure why. Why are Strat bridges called "tremolos" when they are really vibratos? Somebody screwed it up a long time ago and it's been that way ever since. I like "intergalactic" though...gotta get me one of those.

@TwoBucksShy - Fender Custom Shop 57 Tweed Twin. Just a background prop though, Andy was playing through the Fender DRRi in this vid. Thanks for watching!
