Don't let that creep destroy your dreams. You did an excellent rendition of that soulful song, and you let it flow like molasses in Mississippi. Many adults wouldn't be able to play and sing like that, so be proud. With that professional attitude and ability to connect with the audience, you will go far. Good job.
Not a bad version, and true to Gary US Bonds. Though the hard bitten theme of the song is not a good fit for a youngster. Try some quality lighter fare by the Beatles, Buddy Holly or Chuck Berry, or even Bo Diddley.
As an early rocker said, "The choice of the song is critical."
Guitar playing is advanced. You might look at videos of the Collins Kids' Larry Collins on how to play happy. One has plenty of time later to be disillusioned.
Well done.
Enjoyed this very much.
