This video shows how a small digital camera can be used to take photographs of a patient's eye through a slit lamp, in this case at a Vision Center in India. The camera is attached to the slit lamp using a simple adapter. Photographs can be taken of the front of the eye, and retina photos can be taken of the rear of the eye (fundus images).

The digital images can be transmitted over the internet from a remote location to an eye doctor at a hospital for evaluation and recommendations. If necessary, the patient can travel to the hospital for treatment.

This video was filmed at the Kurinjipadi Vision Center located near Pondicherry, India.
