  • why does Zenith choose a O-200, when there are lighter and less expensive options on the market?

  • We installed the Continental O-200 because we could, to to demonstrate that the 750 still performs well with this heavier engine. For many of our builders it is the least inexpensive option (using a used Continental). Many of our customers like the fact that it is direct-drive, air-cooled, US-made, and still in production (with readily available spare parts and support).

  • No kiddin' 8 seconds isn't fair at all. Seen this plane at Oshkosh, and it's my favorite STOL. I had no idea it had that much room in its cockpit with those bubble doors. The view is the best anyone can have too, besides the bubble doors, it having a skylight as well. My initial reaction to the 701's and 750's were how ugly they were at first. It didn't take long before I realized just how beautiful they really were. What a great plane.

  • That's not fair. Eight seconds of sheer beauty?
