@tuinkabouternl I don't think you've ever installed gentoo SAMEN SAMEN SAMEN SAMEN with a girlfriend.

@thetechjedi Ya, I mean he's a phy-a-sict /string theory expert, I doubt he knows that much about computer engineering

Geez, like a 3TB hard drive is less than $100 these days, or will be at the end of 2012, when the Thailand flooding price increases return to normal. Not enough space? Psssh.
And I know he isn't using an SSD because he says that it's taking forever to reinstall.

Why would someone buy an AlienWare and put Linux on it?
Actually, I would. I don't have an AlienWare but an Asus with Qudro-core i7 and nVidia 2 GB. I don't have a use for my nVidia card but I don't care. I have 1 operating system and it's Kubuntu 11.10 with KDE 4.8 and the awesome Dolphin 2.0.

if he doesn't have enough room for a "Linux" partition then why would he reinstall all his os's? would that not leave him in the same situation? ok back to installing gentoo....

It worries me that I too sometimes make an event of reinstalling my OS'

@maw88ify And in the case of this show, I highly doubt Sheldon knows anything about shell scripting or programming. So again, I agree with Raj, fuck that shit.

@maw88ify Yea you have a good point. You can definitely write shell scripts to automate the installation, and write perl scripts to automate backups to a network share or external hard drive. I'm just pointing out that when you have to do that shit manually, it's a pita.
I'm with Raj. Fuck that shit. Having to reinstall an OS, install the updates, the drivers and implement the security settings, and then having to reinstall all your favorite software ....Pain in the fucking ass.

@thetechjedi Not if you you create your own BASH script to auto install updates, and reinstall all your favorite software. It very simple to create a script to install all your software for you. I would use zenity script , or BASH/SHELL .
