@kidandkat alright, i can respect that then. i have a bad taste in my mouth for pro-animal rights a lot of the time because of stuff like PETA making a huge deal about Mario having a fur character upgrade. it doesnt imply he killed and skinned an animal, its just a powerup in the game...but they were crying about that instead of all the animals he kills ever since game 1

@StopFlaggingVideos i am greatly disturbed by everything else we do to them, actually. not just military use, but everything else you mentioned. i believe that animals were not put on this earth for our own selfish use.

@kidandkat i understand your point. but think about what we do to animals. we destroy their homes, their families, their lives, all for our pleasure and own comfort. we sacrifice their lives so we can test science on them for US. we farm them like products and then slaughter them on a massive scale, for US. if you cared about animals you would be disturbed by everything else we did to them, and not specifically pick using them in military (again, to face danger in place of US)

I'm pretty sure dogs fucking love being in the Army. Constantly being challenged and given interesting things to do.

What with all the dumb ass comments, animals have been used in wars for millions of years, they save are troops for IED's.

yeh i dont know why we use animals there not neccesary but as that guy said it probbably has it better than alot of dogs

It is probably more cost effective to rescue and treat the dog than it would be to let it die and train a new one. I'm sure if it was easier to just buy a new one (as it were) they wouldn't bother with fixing up this little chappy...

Handlers love their dogs, they have to, they spend time building a relationship with them to work with them! the case its even greater with Arms & explosive / drug search & vehicle search dogs. They get a better life than many dogs in the civillian world & they enjoy working, stimulates the mind. Notice that when the dog is taken ill, he's given a casualty status & a MERT is called, same as for a human casualty. hes then flown by chinhook to a fully equiped vetenerian. :-)

@Anet000 like i said i know animals have been tested on but in your original comment you were not on about any labatory testing.and yes i am a dog trainer im a part time worker for acrosec specialist security look them up. yes my past time is airsoft which is something i enjoy.yes i can call you thick because every comment that i make you ignore and post more blab. read what i say and act from that. im not here to argue just here to inform you that WORKING dogs enjoy there lifes
Wars between humans should not involve animals. However, that dog probably has it better than most dogs in the world.
