  • Always wondered how many crews it took to get the train from Wyoming to Georgia. Well done! 4 days, that train is moving to cover that distance in that time. And again you've answered another question about who crews the train in eastern areas (IE Norfolk Southern crews east of Memphis). Thanks for great videos you make.

  • Please take in consideration we (BNSF) have the Frisco Track from Memphis to Birmingham that track we move alot of Intermodal from Los Angeles freight bound for the Austell NS intermodal terminal (the Atlanta Area). Plus we reach up to New Orleans(Avondale) with trackage rights from Union Pacific.

  • Not hard to believe at all. BN has really taken a big chunk of the US since its merger with Santa Fe to become BNSF. I wonder in another 20 years or so if we will end up with two huge railroads in the US / BNSF and its merges along with Union Pacific and whatever it absorbs. Coast to coast baby, moving Intermodal all the way from Atlantic to Pacific! No more Chicago stops!

  • Well you know that part of the current BNSF system was once called the Atlantic and Pacific (A&P) I believe it was a predecessor of the Frisco Lines (St Louis San Francisco) from St Louis to Birmingham via Memphis. Although the Frisco never reached San Francisco as originally intended, I beleive the A&P was absorbed into the the Frisco Lines during the collapse in the late 1800s. We could merge the BNSF Rwy & the NS Corp and rename it the (A&P) Atlantic and Pacific.
