More on my trip: www.rwandatrip09.weebly.com

This is the first video in a two part series revolving around my attempts to build and fly an rc plane in Rwanda, Africa. I was staying in a very poor region in Rwanda known as Kivumu. Kivumu is home to 60 000, and is one of the most densely populated areas in all of Rwanada. For 60 000 people there is only two schools, a government owned primary school and a Franciscan run technical school. The government is rapidly trying to modernize Rwanda, and the official secondary language has been changed from french to english practically overnight. When we were at the school my parents were teaching english and teacher training while I taught the teachers how to use the few donated computers. To open the eyes of the students, teachers and who ever else happened to be around I built and flew by Boxwing plane. Free plans here: http://www.rcexperimental.com/annular-wings.html

When I flew my plane in Africa, I trusted r2hobbies for all my electronics. http://www.r2hobbies.com/eng/categories.php?PARTNER=experimentalrc

  • No, seriously, fly dude, your video presentation is great; very well demonstrated and the video is crystal cleared; a young mind like yours always fascinates me because of your creativity...

I mean, you're not out there pushing drugs to young kids, or anything like that; keep reaching for the stars, young dude, and walk where is paved!!!

  • My first impression of this video is a group of Zulu warriours hammering and nailing on some aircraft-shaped object...'til the video shows this guy playing his drum!

How are the African babes over there, dude...are they easy to score?!!!...
