  • It is hard to believe this is Frank playing. I saw him EarthDay 2001 at Epcot. He didn't wear the freaky costume, or have such theatrical movements. He simply played his heart out. The background music was performed live, also. The quality of the carillon play was better. I think this is his apprentice doing the performances now.

  • No that is definitely Frank..I know his voice and I probably talked to him after the show

  • Frank is definately not a woman. I'm proud to say I've had the opportunity to get to know him without the mask. The reason for it is because he wants his performance to be about the music, not himself. The best way to achieve this was to be faceless, the power of the instrument the focus. Plus the mystery and theatrics really add to the experience. He's truely amazing!

  • I have too! He let me go backstage lol. Aren't his hugs the best?

  • Awesome to see live! Me and my kids loved him, and the mask just adds to the "mysteriousness" of it all!

  • 1 Person hasn't been cast in bronze yet.

  • @ShinyItaly I used to work for him. Years ago at the Georgia Ren Fair. Frank's an awesome man. I enjoyed sitting with him backstage between shows, talking. Those are some of my fondest memories.

  • @genericusername94 My first experience with CiB was Ohio Renfest in 2011. That weekend, there were three CiB performances being done in three different states. With the mask and costume, it's as if Mr. DellaPenna was performing in three places at the same time, no offense intended to the other musicians. For me, the mask and costume add to the magic of the moment, somehow being an extension of the black and bronze of the carillon.

  • this dude...... is SOOOO badass.....great performer.

  • I've only had one chance to see him live, but it was worth it.

  • @ariandynas He told me he had a new apprentice, Osirus I believe is what it was. He is also building another Carillon :)

  • @ScarbyPlaytron Can you blame him? Man needs someone he can work with considering what one ton of ringing bronze is doing to his ears, you can even see him wearing his noise dampening head-phones in this one.

  • @Dcusb1 It takes a VERY large truck and ALOT of time, his next one they're working on casting is going to be a little more ornate and ALOT more mobile.

  • @nuttinhoney12

Cast in Bronze is a performance at various Medieval and Music festivals. Its designed to be theatrical.

  • its curious how something so heavy can be moved and especially if it weighs 4 tons ohter than that amazing when i saw him at th ren fest in plantersville Tx
