This is a song about the displacement and devastation that a natural disaster can cause. It was written after the Gulf Coast area was hit by both Hurricane Katrina and Ike in 2005 and 2008. I live in this area and witnessed firsthand the effect it has both physically and psychologically after talking with co-workers that fled New Orleans and relocated in Houston. Most were in search of work so that they could return home one day and rebuild their lives. In putting this song with video, I hope to intertwine the overall effect this event has, not just on one part of the country, but how it effects all of us throughout the entire country . I hope this video finds its way for you to support the Red Cross with their efforts, or whatever outlet you may choose, to assist these people who need our help so they may "find their wings and sail back into the wind". Thank you to Jade Samuels who put this video together for me.... Lloyd Daniel plays Lead Guitar.
