I have The same problem right now . I feel very amazed at how the sound is the same !
crazy shit what was the probleM?
-
that has to be your flywheel,
-
honeycomb loose/broken in the catalytic converter? do you have a CEL on?
-
Manual shift : Check again whilst stationary and in neutral. Clutch in and see if the noise goes away.
If it does then its clutch release bearing.
Auto: Gearbox related not sure what it could be, torque convertor maybe

Huh? Driveshaft noise? You didnt even turn the tires the slightest, which means no driveshaft movement... Thats the sound of your exhaust. You can check a driveshaft for noise with the engine off by shaking the shaft different ways and checking for excessive play.
-
Your talking about that sound without moving or shifting..
Exhaust. - sounds like some metal broken and bouncing around from the air flow.
-
cv joint its is the half shaft
-
your not moving. not the drive shaft buddy
there isn't any problem, follow the maserati Life forum and you'll see..avoid leaving the car in idle running without engaging a gear for long periods of time, no problem but a safety thing built into these cars.
