There's actually an excellent HP fanfic, titled: "Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality" which operates from a similar premise, young Harry having been raised by a LOVING aunt Petunia (happily married to a scientist instead of a bloated ignoramus), and who enters the Wizarding World a skeptical rationalist. Amusing, and also addresses a lot of the inconsistencies of the original series. =^[.]^=
