Story behind this song: there used to be a couple of girls who were so obessed with the guys, they used to sleep outside Apple Corps and Paul's house. They were called "apple scruffs." One day, they got bored and decided to pay him a visit. They found a ladder in the garden and climbed in through the upstairs bathroom window. Then they raided Paul's closet for his pants. And this song was born. I freakin' love these guys. XD

that's very interesting but I'm convinced there is more to the story....silver spoon? sucking her thumb in wonder? by the banks of her own lagoon? police department?? she could steal but she could not rob (metaphors?)...and how about the thing with sunday, monday and tuesday. This song has always fascinated me and will always be one of my favorites :)
