"A Call for Discernment"
A Biblical Critique of the Word of Faith Movement
(more commonly known as the Health and Wealth or Prosperity Gospel)

"Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which you have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the unsuspecting." (Romans 16:17-18)

In addition to expository preaching, another aspect of Justin's ministry is the three session seminar which he has developed entitled A Call for Discernment. This seminar is a fair, comprehensive, biblical critique of the modern Word of Faith movement. Word of Faith theology (WoF) dominates Christian satellite and cable television and is making alarming inroads into more theologically conservative, evangical churches. This seminar contains dozens of audio and video clips (primarily the latter) of various WoF leaders such as Benny Hinn, Kenneth and Gloria Copeland, Jessie Duplantis, Creflo Dollar, etc. incorporated into a PowerPoint format. This format allows people to see and hear for themselves what these individuals are actually teaching. Everything then is, in turn, balanced with Scripture.

Each session is approximately 70 to 75 minutes in length. A Call for Discernment can be structured and scheduled according to the desires of the pastor or conference organizer.

  • Did you see (Part 2 of 4)? Creflo Dollar Says you are gods, little "g", you are gods because you came from God and you are gods." Not everything that the Word of Faith teachers teach is wrong. Some of it is right. Therein, however, lies the deceptive seduction. It is a craftily packaged counterfeit gospel made to look like the real thing.

  • As a WOF pastor and seminary graduate myself I have to say that this minister is completely incorrect regarding the fundamental beliefs of the WOF movement. I do agree there are some who claim to be "WOF" that preach/teach a distorted "gospel". In every "camp", including the Baptist, there have been some who have misrepresented and/or wavered from Orthodox Christian fundamentals. Justin Peters has taken references out of context to justify his idealogical position.

  • awesome teachings~ thanks...!

  • Jesus said, John 14:12 the works that i do shall you do also and GREATER WORKS than these. This is normal, the devil wants to stop the world from listening to the best preachers. These are men of God, they do not think they are God, they just know what it means to be a child of God. The LORD did not intend for us to be defeated. The bible also said that we would be persecuted. And we dont care. We love you and we pray for you to have revelation and grow in the knowledge of HIm.
