Too much squatting. Its a back exercise not a leg exercise. Use a Lighter weight.

@dannyJmac1980 sorry bro locking ur legs and back can put alot of stress on those area's 4 alot of ppl having a slight bend in both isnt bad not even a bend jst not locked

Was using a slight quad push 4 momentum at start of lift shud keep leg n bk locked in position and use over hand grip .... Use less bicep n more lats that way.... Good effort tho

to all you people telling people to slow down and use light weight, ask any bodybuilder in the ifbb and they will all tell u the same thing, u have to go heavy most exercises, and lighter and more focused toward the end of your workout to target individual muscles.

They are not like shrugs at all, except they hit similar muscles. Yates row incorporates larger parts of the back than the barbell row, allows you to lift more weight and thus increases the compound exercise, leading to more muscles exercised in less movments.

I have a question - what is this yaties rows bullshit excersise, not talking about this specific video at all, i mean whats the point in nearly standing it turns it into shrugs rather than rows

to heavy you were using momentum not the muscle drop your weight by half and control the weight up pause and squeeze the muscles then slowly come to a full stretch then repeat

Some constructive criticism . I have seen far worse technique, could do with tightening up a little, too much flex in the legs, slight squat !!
