The NIU College of Business chapter of Pi Sigma Epsilon (PSE) has formed a partnership with the global market leader Bosch.

Through this partnership, Pi Sigma Epsilon PSE members gain real-world exposure to what it takes to identify and build new markets for industrial technology products. Additionally, the students will learn how to create and manage the brand awareness of a multi-billion dollar organization.

The students' work is guided by Pi Sigma Epsilon, PSE faculty advisor Mark Rosenbaum, who is a Fulbright Scholar and assistant professor in the Department of Marketing.

The marketing program at Northern Illinois University We offer a contemporary, innovative and relevant curriculum that is in keeping with the needs of a globally competitive and inter-connected economy. Our award winning professors bring the real world into the classrooms and provide a learning environment that is exciting, challenging, and fun. We believe that blending strong fundamental concepts with actual business practices provides our students with a competitive edge that is critical in today's business environment.

The success of our program is the result of some very unique factors:

We offer two-leading edge areas of study. The nationally recognized area of study in Professional Selling is supported by an industry-acclaimed office of Selling Effectiveness. The Interactive Marketing area of study has continued to grow in prominence since it was introduced a few years ago. The Department has developed professional partnerships with several nationally prominent firms that support both areas, and the rapidly growing Chicago area industry offers numerous career opportunities for our students.
We offer students the opportunity to custom-design their own area of study. Students can choose from several areas including international marketing, promotional management, marketing research, retailing, and new product development, to design a curriculum that suits their unique needs and aspirations.
Our student body is energetic, talented, multi-cultural and diverse. In addition, students from more than 95 countries are represented in the student body at Northern Illinois University providing a rich learning environment for all.
Our faculty members are among the best in the university. They are stellar professors who take great pride in teaching. Their balanced approach to teaching helps bring an applied, real-world approach to the classroom. Many of our faculty members are recipients of national and university teaching awards; excellent teaching is truly the norm in the Department. The small class sizes also facilitate one-on-one interactions between the professors and the students.
Our faculty members and staff maintain active partnerships with the Chicago area business community that, in turn, supports the Department by providing internship opportunities, scholarships, career assistance and employment opportunities for our students. Our scholarship program is also supported by the industry. Our faculty members are also well-known researchers who work with regional, national and international firms, and are actively engaged in national and international academic and professional organizations. Their expertise expands beyond the classroom and many of them hold leadership positions within professional organizations.
The state-of-the-art classrooms, labs and other facilities in Barsema Hall provide all the tools students need to excel in the classroom and in the business world.
