  • @LostThug13 yes, the kick at the 00:20 was legal, because the control was well done, and the ground fighting at the 01:35 was legal, but this spinning punch used by aka is a very dangerous techinique, if it hit the head is a hansoku, but chudan is ok. but i think that technique don't scores because he throw himself on the ground with the punch with no accuracy...

  • is the kick to the head of the grounded opponent at 00:20 even legal? and also the the 3 second ground fighting at 01:35?

please give me an answer, from an actual JKA practitioner.

    thanks.

  • @TheFudokan - 62 and his broke 'opponents' ribs. What a claim to fame! Besides which Kawasaki was more of an assistant than an opponent. To me it looks as if his ego prevented him exercises the control most expect of an 8th dan karate Master. I've trained with the guy and it is scary just to be in the same dojo as him. He is constantly bashing & damaging assistants when demonstrating techniques and I think Kawasaki had the ribs broken earlier (by Yahara) but not 100% sure on that.

  • 所謂「寸止め空手」を習ってましたが、このタイプの強者は強烈です。

    中師範のスピードとキレは最強だ。

  • 中先生最高!

  • very fast and sharp

  • LOL "Taikan" loves to throw mae geri's XD

  • yes i watched all of his videos!! and germany guy was not more agressive...he just won on points...and yahara is fighting not to win on points!!! he is using old traditional karate!!! and he said that that the ultimate aim of karate is to kill with one strike!! and he did it!! he managed to make that ultimate aim of karate true!!! you would not expect that old guy with 62 years broke 3 ribs to you...would you???

  • Yes, he is an exception, he never turns his back to the opponent. That's the thing I like about him. But for all that, I don't think that he was nor is the undefeatable beast. He was and is a furious fighter, but there were/are much more aggressive guys. Watch JKA World Cup 1983 against Germany in the finals, there he lost a fight against Steinegg. Yahara had no chance. As for the broken rips, I don't know why many people are so delighted about it.

  • @MegaNewbie100 only japanesse fighter I know in JKA who dose not turn his back is MIKYO YAHARA!!! watch his fights and you will see( YAHARA VS MORI, or YAHARA VS TOGEDA or YAHARA VS KAGAWA -videos on youtube!) he is fighting not for points!!! he is the beast!! he broke his opponent 3 ribs in 1 strike while taking 8.dan....at that time he had 62 years...Osu!
