Last time I checked digital caps were $15 + apiece. For most practical applications nonels do a fine job. 25/250's with 17's, 34's and 42's (surface delays) provide enough timing combinations for most applications. Digitals are time consuming to scan and connect. And they each have two wires. (remember chasing down bad electrics with a galvanometer? Think I might still have a peter meter somewhere.) With the advent of tough shock tubes I am reluctant to go back to wires. Just something else to

I definitive like the electronic dets, but they are not cost effective by now, and only an specific operation could afford their extremely high cost. Until prices get down I will keep on using non electric dets, easier and probably safer on the time being.
