University of Cape Coast, Ghana: A Visitor's Review.ASF

This video was created on the occasion of a 2009 Ghana trip by 18 individuals from a Baptist church in the U.S. The purpose of the trip was to educate (and learn), celebrate (our host, King Okeyene Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin's 10th anniversary of his ascending the stool of Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Area), and to serve.

This is a rare sea-front university in the world. It was founded in 1962 out of a dire need for highly qualified and skilled manpower. The university has a mandate to "serve the needs of the whole country" of Ghana. In 1957, Ghana became the first sub-Saharan country in colonial Africa to gain its independence.
