Bardock was never kille by frieza he aurvived and went bac in time and defeated friezas ancestor lord chilled and he is the legend of the super sayain look it up

I like to think tht the battle took place after frezia was killed by trunks and saw bardock in other world, then bardock gets the revenge he's been waiting for
