A recently rebuilt SB350 and TH350 (before I bought it). So new the exhaust valves are even clean. Came out of a 70s C10, and live its life in a '69 Camaro until today. Just put on a coat of Chevy Orange engine paint and dropper her in.

  • Very nice engine! Too bad the sounds gone....sadly... My '70 CST has a '69 307 in it, I've built it now though, but from what I've been able to find my 307 also come from a camero...gonna do some more checking though, to find out for sure.

On a side note, i I was you I'd get rid of that ole' Quadrajunk Carb... They';re alright as long as their workin' but other then that, I HATE them!

  • Q-Jets rule. Better throttle response in a street application than any square-bore, starts easy every time, when in the primaries has the fuel economy of a 2bbl, and has no lack of power when tuned right, considering it flows 750 CFM it's good for a wide variety of motors. GM wouldn't have used it for nearly 30 years on everything from little chevy 283s to cadillac 500 big blocks.

  • Is that the original rochester that came on the engine?

  • I do believe this Q-Jet is original to the engine. Though this isn't the trucks original 350 small block.

  • dude where the hell is your exhaust manifold or headers you will ruin your valves.

  • DUDE, REALLY??!!?!? I THOUGHT IT GAVE ME MADMAX HORSE POWAH!!!! NOW I GOTZ HEDERZ, AND I BE RAPIN' VETTZ!@!!!!@@!!?!?!?

But seriously, notice were running it off gas poured into the bowls of the carb. And starting it with a pry-bar to the starter. Does this scream, "Test fire"?

  • wheres the headders and the ratiator fan and belts?!?

  • you should try and find a q-jet from an old big block. there supposed to flow 800cfm or something around those lines

  • but still even for a test fire.

do you know how quickly heat is transferred from the exhaust valve...

since they are inside the cylinders i'll let you figure that out.
