"I must be crazy to be in a loony bin like this."
(McMurphy (Jack Nicholson), 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest')

Indeed. (You have to be nuts to want to put those two back in power.)

We must heed Carl Bernstein's hillary clinton caveat, intended, especially, for progressives like him:

"We need to know who this woman is.... There's not a sex act mentioned in the book. What is important is Hillary savaging the women."

In other words, we must understand that this is the LAST woman who should become our first female president.

She is a chronic abuser of women in her own right. (And, as we learned after Iowa, she is--they are--despicable racists who would polarize and destroy the party and the country in order to retake the White House.)

  • bizzare.

  • (cont.) He "ignored" terrorism? Funny, I distinctly remember him talking about it a lot, including proposing more military spending to combat it, in his last SOTU. I also remember lots of talk from the Republican congress that he was only "wagging the dog" and overstating the danger. If 95 scholars and historians rated Clinton badly (which I doubt, but show me if you can), then by their standards, Bush deserves no less than the same treatment Mussolini got at the end of WWII.

  • Miatt111: Yes, thrived. Economically, technologically, and in other ways. Under BILL Clinton, terrorists responsible for the first WTC attack were captured, put on trial, and jailed for life- denied "martyrdom." Many more plots were stopped. He came closer to killing Osama bin Laden via black ops than Dubya ever has with overt military action. Unlike Bush, he was never baited into making bin Laden more sympathetic to potential followers.

That said, focus on Juanita Broaddrick and the clintons. The husband raped Broaddrick. And the missus threatened Broaddrick 2 weeks later.

You miss the relevance of Paula Jones:

Notwithstanding the spuriousness of the following argument, that clinton's perjuries were "just about sex" and therefore "do not rise to the level of an impeachable offense," (i.e., the courts make no distinction between perjuries), clinton's perjury was not "just about sex."

clinton's perjury was about clinton denying a citizen justice by lying in a civil rights-sexual harassment case about his sexual history with subordinates.

As for Susan McDougal, at best the 'abuse' was self-inflicted.

More likely tho, the clinton heavy hand was at work.

(Surely you must have noticed how many former clinton cohorts act against their own interest to keep the lovely couple out of the slammer.)
