    Loudest gig I can think of was done in the early 80's by Motörhead. During the soundcheck of the guitar, some guy called up from 4-5 miles away complaining cause he couldn't hear his TV. The reviewers said it was so loud it felt like your brain was being pushed out through your nostrils. Not downing this bit though, I like it alot. Just wanted to pop some info your way about records :)
