I got the Power Tour Electric Guitar and speaker stack (there are two and they go to 11) on clearance. I paid less than $25 for the whole set-up.

I created this video with the YouTube Video Editor (http://www.youtube.com/editor)

  • Ok, you've got the right chords and lyrics, but you're lagging your chords behind your singing - throwing me off. Cool guitar bro!

  • @johnrthome Thanks. (shrugs) I wasn't really trying to copy the Cars version, but create some version of my own. I wasn't trying to lag. That's just how I "heard" the song in my head. It's my style, I guess. Check out some of my other videos, and see if I'm "lagging behind" there.

  • LOL silly & serious all at once- it LOOKS like a uke but sounds like a grown up elec guitar! I think you definitely deserve an "I hate you" for this ( and you know what that means from me, right?)

  • @bubblemum Thanks. It's a Power Tour Electric Guitar. A toy made by Hasbro, even though it has the Gibson name on it. It just has one octave, and it's monophonic (only play one note at a time), so it's a little limited. But I had fun trying to work out this arrangement.

  • That is all kinds of silly and great! How about an encore? Can you play Jessie's Girl on that thing? Rock on! -Bruce

  • @psychobman Thanks, Bryce. ;) This is a video that I had been planning for quite some time. It's funny. But it took a while to figure out the "arrangement" of this on the toy guitar. I realized that I had to make some compromises. "Jesse's Girl" is one of my favorites. And it might sound really cool on the Power Tour. I'll give it a try!

  • @leighdf Thanks, Dave. I appreciate the vote of confidence.

  • @hum97 Thanks! The video effects were done with the YouTube Online Video Editor, which I didn't know existed until a few hours ago. I like the black and white too. I will try not to overuse it.

  • So cool! Love the attitude and the black & white too!

  • Neat!
