@InsaneJMan They are allowed - There is no law against it. There is sort of a "gentlemens agreement" between both alcohol advertisers and Television not to show it, no one wants to look irresponsible. They are probably afraid that if they seem irresponsible, then the Gov't will come in and say no advertising at all, which would be their worst nightmare.
