General walkthrough the Nokia N900 Internet Tablet

The Nokia N900 is the latest Internet Tablet device and the addition of a phone adds quite a bit to the platform. Maemo 5 is the operating system powering the N900 and it is truly a great device.

Not really. It did start to lag when I ran Nokia Maps and the Camera application at the same time, but still worked.

the N900 definately doesn't look like a "science project" to me... I am still trying to understand where those remarks came from.

Did you go on WiFi when you showed us the browser. Or did you go on 3G?

if they both came out at same time would defo buy the n900

but as it didnt i got n97 so i guess im just used too its style and way it works and i know the soft ware is a lot better on the n900 but still for looks the n97 does win due

But then N900 keys are bigger and there is much better tactile feel on the keys(was big no no for me with N97).

This being Maemo is the reason to leave this or buy it over N97, but it's good to member that the HW inside kills N97 with the OMAP3 and HW accelerated 3D and the screen with the WVGA reso.

OMAP3 makes possible that N900 can record video in 800x480 compared to 640x480 on N97. N900 also got autofocus on video camera that the N97 lack.

okiiii i hv the nokia n97 and the lay out and display looks a little better is that just me but the internet tablet is like the only thing that is like better on the n900

and the keypad is much better on the n97 there is no room for you fingers too move and mis- spelling happens all the time
