(Hi-Def- clip #1)
I took a great ride on the visiting FLAGG COAL CO. #75 STEAM TRAIN (built in Pa. in 1932 as #2 switcher) on the Morning of May 22, 2010. The RAILROAD MUSEUM of NEW ENGLAND and the NAUGATUCK R.R. (all Dedicated Volunteers) booked this two-weekend show & ride event. Here it's pulling into the THOMASTON Station with it's 3 passenger cars, Coach #5046 (1923 Canadian National), Coach #4992 (1927), and Coach 4980 (1924). It was a great day, and the hour and fifteen min. ride south down the NAUGATUCK VALLEY was sweet.
They say this is the First time a Steamer is in the valley since going Diesel
62 YEARS AGO! I booked another ride next week.
Definitely Learn More about the RR Museum of N.E. & the FLAGG COAL #75!
I think RMNE should restore Sumpter and Choctaw 103 to operation, that way, they would have a steam engine of their own.
