Andrew Wasson of Creative Guitar Studio answers a viewers question...
Q: Could you do a lesson about two-Beat Country progressions and in it, discuss your rhythm technique, particularly the hybrid plucking approach and I'd like to know some of the fancy plucking like you did in that older Country guitar video where you covered Albert lee & Steve Travato styles. Thanks!
- Todd, Lubbock TX.
A: Two-beat country feel has to do with feeling the beat in Cut-Time. Cut-time is a division where the beat moves quite fast. In this meter we feel each measure in two instead of the more common meter of 4.

I used to HATE 7th chords because many beginner books have you play them TO DEATH. But the subtle 7th thrown in in passing to the 4th chord works well. This is a good lesson because it also introduces basic concept of fingerstyle playing. Cool!

@gooney0 ---> This sounds like real Country music not the shit they pass-off as it like Taylor Swift, which is just shitty corporate pop crap music (that makes me sick).
