Rockwell Testimony on bill to build 100 new nuclear power plants in 20 years - Part 2

The Senate Republican Conference met to hear testimony on the proposal to build 100 new nuclear power plants by 2020, which would double nuclear's current 20% of US electricity. The 90-minute session was pared down to the technical aspects of the proposal, by deleting some of the economic and political arguments. The remaining 55 minutes was cut into 7 consecutive parts, to make each part less than YouTube's 10-minute limit.

There is no contradiction between opposing nuclear weapons and building nuclear power plants. Obama said that Iran was entitled to build power plants.

Right. Nuclear power is no more dangerous than coal or hydro, it just poses a different kind of danger. The questions about Iran surrounds their attempts at secrecy. They built their enrichment facilities underground and purposefully disguised their facility as a regular industrial plant. The U.S. does not oppose an open and accountable program but Iran and Syria are trying to establish clandestine programs, which raises suspicions.

hhhhhhmmmmmmmmmm were trying to stop nuclear creations in other countries. yet these crazies want to build more. Well at least there will be plenty of nuclear energy released to kill us all.
