A practical and thought-provoking guide to diagnosis will be provided for each of three extremely important topics within DSM-IV-TR: anxiety. The session will provide 45 minutes of diagnostic criteria, case-based examples, and clinical insights useful to frontline mental health workers. The tone will be conversationaland interaction will be encouraged.
Tom Minogue, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist in a 300-member group practice, as well as a clinical assistant professor on the medical school faculty at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Prior to his residency in psychiatry, he was a rural family practitioner, surgeon, and ER doctor. He lectures widely, has numerous TV and radio appearances to his credit, and has taught and consulted administratively both in the U.S. and throughout the Caribbean.
