@hellaflushlove If you but it new it will have a battery, but I always recommend getting a second. All* SLR lenses are manual zoom only, if you meant focus, you can toggle between manual and auto focus on most lenses- including the one included with the camera.

@nika98S well that depends on the company... if you could name the specific name of the lens it would be a lot easier to say if its good or not

anyway 18-55 is a basic and solid all-rounder

@Suzan2k Probably because you have to high of an aperture setting .. go to tv mode and move the dial to change the setting to 1/1000 that will get a sharp image
