I know what you mean. I've always stayed away from pigments because they're messy to work with, but I really like the fact that they have pigment stacks. and the ebony collection looks gorgeous. Thanks for the tips on blending. I haven't pressed any pigments before but it's probably a good idea for these pigments.. Thanks a lot...

Hi fellow Toronto make-up artist!! :P I was at IMATS as well! I went on the Saturday and got there really early too to avoid the "long" line up! I met Koren & Elissa as well & you're right, they are very genuine and exactly how they are in their videos! I could not stop laughing when I went to the ladies room and heard the "WHIPPING" noises coming from the SEX SHOW. LOL. Anyway, great videos! And to support other canadian MUAs...SUBSCRIBED!!

If you watch my Haul video, I mention all the prices that I purchased the items at and listed it in the "more info" section. If you don't want to pull out a calculator, I spent 96$ on myself and 55$ for my friend.

Hi Fiona (:
I was wondering how much money did you spent in total at the IMATS . It seems like you got alot of makeup. lol
Hello Fiona! I'm getting ready for my IMATS Toronto 2010 yeeei!, and it's my first time. I was wondering if all the makeup booths accept credit-debit cards? THANK YOU :D

@mecmex Most do, but I am not confident enough to say all are. To be honest, I suggest you bringing cash because if you pay by credit, they will most likely charge you their US prices. I remember seeing signs about that last year.

@fionaman
Thanks for the advice for packing lunch. I'm planning to do that too but then my friends kept on saying we don't need to. lol
By the way, you mentioned that NARS was part of The Bay at the Toronto imats. but for vancouver, nars is actually standalone counter. Maybe they will have discounts? I dunno. We'll see.
PS: Your imats experience sounds awesome and I'm so excited for the upcoming Vancouver show too. :)

@diligentshopper On the Toronto website, NARS was a standalone counter. But it wasn't until we got there that we realized that it was part of The Bay along with BeautySoClean. They had a lot of stuff there but just none of it was on sale.
Have fun at the Vancouver IMATS and let me know how it goes :)

@fionaman
For sure. I have been saving up and I haven;t bought any makeup for the past 2 months just so I can go on a spree at imats. I was planning on getting some naked pigments too and after seeing your videos, I'm sold.
=D

@diligentshopper The downside with Naked Pigments is that it's hard to blend if you wet your brush too much. Also, there is a lot of fall out if you use it loose. So I actually pressed it with 1 part glycerin and 3 parts alcohol and it works a lot better.
