Residents in the town of Huntington Beach say they are being threatened by the installation of a 55-foot T-Mobile cell phone tower 28 feet from Harbour View Elementary School. Concerns range from a sharp drop in the property values of surrounding homes to a reduction in the overall aesthetics of the park to the looming possible repercussions on the health and welfare of the children, teachers and administrators at the school.
Concerned parents, faculty members and Huntington Beach residents gather to support the "No on Q" referendum. The referendum is on the Huntington Beach ballot for the November 2, 2010 elections. Voters have begun sending in mail-in ballots after October 4, 2010.
